This afternoon we met with McKenzie (one of Dr. Williams' nurses) to review our new folder and go over our upcoming plans. We received a green folder this time! And McKenzie explained that green is the color for Frozen Embryo Transfers. So I was right in assuming that all of the purple folder ladies were going through the same protocol as me. Although I won't be in the lab or office as much this round - I definitely would feel more comfortable striking up a conversation with a fellow "green folder" girl. I do like frogs - so green is perfect!
The big next step for now is to start the Lupron shots this Saturday (April 2nd). They are the subcutaneous shots that just need to go into skin/fat. The Lupron shots will be every morning and they ask that you try to keep it at around the same time each morning. I think we'll shoot for 7am again - that seemed to work well last time. And helped me get to work earlier! :) I'll be getting the Lupron shot everyday up until a week before the transfer.
Our transfer is still scheduled for Friday, May 13th. (I found out this week that my Aunt Pat graduated high school on May 13th - so that's gotta be a good sign.) And McKenzie did confirm that as long as we do the transfer on the 13th, my first pregnancy blood test (Beta test) would be on Monday, May 23rd - just as we suspected. That is a special day for us for two reasons. It is my hubby's Granny's 95th birthday and my sister's due date for her 2nd baby boy (nephew #7 for us). Hopefully we will have a 3rd happy reason to remember that day going forward!
Well, it's getting late - so I'm going to go to bed. I promise to post more later about our calendar, the protocol, and some of the questions we had answered today. Green Folder Girl.... OUT! :)
